Theme/plugin update help

The version of WPBakery 5.1.1 Modified version on my site seems to need an update. WPBakery support has been into the site and says that the "modified" part is connected to the Jupiter Child theme. Can you provide any assistance in updating this plugin? Any attempt to switch, for example to the more generic WPBakery plugin, trashes the pages built on the modified version.
